蒋林博士,美国佐治亚理工学院生物学系副教授,主要从事群落生态学、系统发育群落生态学、生物多样性和生态系统功能方面的研究工作,近十年来在PNASEcology LettersAmerican NaturalistEcologyJournal of Ecology等生态学国际顶级期刊发表学术论文30余篇。

 

报告摘要:

In the Origin of Species, Darwin proposed several ideas linking species interactions to their evolutionary relationships. These ideas are largely behind the development of the field of phylogenetic community ecology today. This field, however, has been dominated by observational studies. My lab conducted the first experimental tests of Darwin’s ideas, specifically Darwin’s phylogenetic limiting similarity hypothesis and naturalization hypothesis. I will discuss these experimental studies as well as a recent meta-analysis synthesizing findings of empirical studies of Darwin’s naturalization hypothesis.
