报告人简介：Dr. Jun Lu graduated from Department of Environmental Science at East China Normal University 1990, and get his Ph.D at Auckland University 2004. Now he is Head of Research, School of Interprofessional Health Studies and School of Applied Sciences, Faculty of Health & Environmental Sciences, Auckland University of Technology. His research ranged from Environment to Biomedical Science and Pharmacology. He is an Associate Editor of the journal Frontiers in Nutrition and was an editorial board member of the journal Molecular Cancer Therapeutics. He has 80 publications including journal papers of Cancer Res and Diabetologia.

报告摘要：The brown algae Undaria pinnatifida is a source of biologically active phytochemicals, including a wide range of components such as carotenoids, phycobilins, fatty acids, polysaccharides, vitamins, sterols, tocopherol, and phycocyanins. The major components in U. pinnatifida such as fucoxanthin and fucoidan have been reported to have various health benefits. The growth environment affects the quality of extracts from U. pinnatifida. We will look at the environment-extract relationship and the biological effect of the extracts.
