报告人简介：

Hans Cornelissen，国际著名生态学者，阿姆斯特丹自由大学教授，主要研究植物功能性状与碳氮循环、全球变化及生物多样性的关系。聚焦植被组成对碳循环和养分循环的影响，揭示功能多样性驱动碳积累（如光合作用）与碳损失（如凋落物分解 、火烧和草食作用等）过程的机制；通过野外实验、性状数据库和整合分析，研究从局域到全球尺度性状与碳循环的关系，探索植物性状如何响应气候变化；开展生态火灾和倒木分解实验，探讨树木性状对分解过程及生物多样性的影响。成果发表在Nature、Science、PNAS等顶级期刊，总发表论文数超500篇，引用超81000次，H 指数109。其与多国团队合作，推动植物性状与生态系统功能的国际联网研究。

报告内容简介：

The plant economics spectrum, focused on traits related to tissue quality, has been a hot field of research related to plant performance and ecosystem functions such as productivity and litter decomposition. The size and shape of plants and their different organs are also important for plant performance and ecosystem functions and services, but in very different ways. Here I will show conceptually and empirically how the Plant Size and Shape Spectrum is a key driver of fire regimes, biodiversity and soil erosion. This lecture will be an invitation for digging broader and deeper into this relatively new research field, which I believe is key to understanding ecosystem functions and their responses to environmental changes.
