报告内容简介: Landscape ecology as a field of study has evolved profoundly since Carl Troll coined the term in 1939. Rapid changes and advances started in the late 1970s and early 1980s. One of the most impactful milestones in the history of the field was the Allerton Park Workshop in 1983 which created the blueprint for modern landscape ecology. In this talk, I’ll address the following questions: What are the major advances in landscape ecology during the past 40 years? How has the field evolved in theory, methodology, and applications? What major lessons have we learnt about the field? Great progress has been made, but greater challenges are still ahead.
